Debuting Parable

Today I’m debuting Parable

Successful companies make the impossible, inevitable. Their stories live long enough to become parables that inspire generations.

We write up to $10M checks to founders progressing humanity. You create the category, and we go all in to help you lead it.

Parable has led five rounds, and is actively investing in pre-seed, seed, and series A’s with a focus on Consumer and Prosumer AI. We love co-leading and leading. We are also happy to be creative in partnering with founders we believe in.

Ideas precede invention, and ideologies govern Silicon Valley. Here’s what I believe:

We are in extraordinary times.

Many of us have grand ambitions to build generational companies. These extra-ordinary times favor the “ordinary mind”: a Chinese concept written as “平常心” and translated literally as “usual heart”. It is the mentality of the humble everyday. It leads to persistence and to clear thinking; dominant daily practices of startup journeys that endure (an idea attributed to Bytedance founder Zhang Yiming).

We live in a new world.

Humanity itself is evolving. AI is a new archetype of “person”. The upside case: we add infinitely more “people”, ostensibly a new type of population growth, with many “persons” designed by and for each of us. It could be the best friend you’ve ever had…you can vent infinitely without upsetting them! It could be the best colleague you’ve ever worked with…you can offload anything or everything. These “people” have narrow superpowers and in their superpowers they are potentially better than even the best of us. This transforms how we live life and how we work.

We do outstanding work when we pursue our life’s work.

I aspire to partner with as many great founders doing great work as possible. Founders who solve problems that appear small at the outset, but over time become important global phenomena. This is my life’s work.

We’re hiring. We’re actively investing. If you’ve made it this far, don’t be shy and say hello: at anne@parablevc.com!
